Children's Sunday School

Sunday School Registration – It is vital for us to have an updated registration form for your child. We have a simplified “one per family” form this year. Download a form by clicking the "Registration" button at the bottom of the Children's Ministry homepage or pick up a form at the Children’s Welcome Desk.

In Children’s Ministry we are shaping children to be disciples of Jesus through partnering with parents for lifetime faith, teaching God’s Word through Sunday school and special events, supporting children in worship and cultivating hearts to serve. We have a strong faith at home emphasis and focus on building Christ–centered homes. Stop by the Children’s Welcome Desk for more resources.

Sunday school classes: 9:45–10:45 a.m. September 11 – May 21

2 year olds (by July 31) through 5th Grade

We are excited to continue using “Tru” curriculum by David C. Cook. “Tru helps kids and their families connect with God, find their place in His big story, and respond to Him through the power of the Holy Spirit.” It is a spiritually forming, parent-empowering and kid-captivating curriculum. To help parents spiritually nurture their children, “Home Front Weekly” and “Home Front Monthly” parent resources are available.
Check-in begins at 9:35 a.m. at the Children’s Welcome Desk in Steffen Hall lobby.

Peanut-free snacks are provided for preschool classes. Parents of children with severe food allergies provide a pre-packaged, individually wrapped snack and a food allergy action plan from their physician. Please adhere to our “24 hour fever free and symptom free” wellness policy before bringing children into the nursery or to Sunday School Classes.

Safety and Security

For the safety and security of our children, we use a web based security system.  Upon check-in at the Children’s Welcome Desk, parents and children receive security name tags. Parents check in with classroom volunteers and complete the “parent location” section on the attendance clipboard. Children are released only to the adult with the corresponding name tag. All volunteers have attended Bonhomme for at least six months and must have a background check before serving.
