At Bonhomme, children of all ages are welcome in worship.

Worshiping with your child cultivates a sense of belonging in the church community and provides opportunities for spiritual discussions throughout the week. To help parents worship with their children, complementary copies of Parenting in the Pew by Robbie Castleman are available at the Children’s Welcome Desk in Steffen Hall and near the entrance of the Sanctuary.

What are other options for my child?

Children six months to pre-kindergarten

Loving childcare is available during all worship services by caring and experienced staff.  Blue Room care includes a Bible story and craft that reinforces the Sunday School lesson (when in session) or a lesson from the Pray and Play Bible.

Kindergarten through third grade [Sept through May]

During the 11:00 a.m. contemporary service in Steffen Hall there is an optional “pull-out” during the sermon portion of the worship service. Children are dismissed for a lesson and video from The Jesus Storybook Bible and return for the last song. This gives families the opportunity to worship together for part of the worship service. Children stay in worship on holiday weekends. (Palm Sunday, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve).
