Children and Worship

At Bonhomme, we encourage children four years and older to worship with their family. Worshiping with your child cultivates a sense of belonging in the church community and provides opportunities for spiritual discussions throughout the week.

We understand however, that your child may not be quite ready at four, so we offer childcare (starting at the age of six months) through pre-kindergarten.

To help parents worship with their children, complementary copies of Parenting in the Pew by Robbie Castleman are available at the Children’s Welcome Desk in Steffen Hall and near the entrance of the Sanctuary. We also have a “worshiper in training” process to assist parents. As Castleman states in her book, we believe “Worship is the most important thing you can ever train your child to do.”
