The Good: Mission and Ministry

These are tough times. With the COVID-19 pandemic many churches are not in a position to thrive as Bonhomme is. Many churches are closing. Many churches are in crisis. Though we are sad and disappointed that so many classes, programs–and even in-person worship– have been postponed or canceled, Bonhomme is still able to positively impact our church family and our St. Louis community. Because of your dedication and faithful giving, good things are happening at Bonhomme.

For instance:
  1. We have not only maintained our mission giving at its normal amount, we have increased giving.
  2. We’ve activated alternative financial supports to our mission partners who are in acute need by accelerating things like our Tipping Point Grants.
  3. Numerous church groups and members have rallied together to support mission partners like Isaiah 58 Ministries, Freedom School, Haven of Grace, and others in our city.
  4. We continue to collect donations for Isaiah 58 Ministries Bag of Blessing food pantry and others at higher rates than normal.
  5. Our Call Campaign is in full swing as Bonhomme staff members have been calling and checking in on Bonhomme members and guests.
  6. We have activated the Bonhomme Crisis Fund to help those in our church family who are experiencing the economic repercussions of this crisis.
  7. Bonhomme Student Ministry and Bonhomme Children’s Ministry have found new ways to connect to students and kids.
  8. Bonhomme Adult Ministry has started Zoom Groups, online virtual groups for fellowship and spiritual conversations.
  9. We have networked with our denomination and quickly and effectively applied and received the Payroll Protection Loan through the Federal Government and our local bank.
