About Us
The Bonhomme Foundation is an independent entity formed to manage an endowment fund for the ongoing benefit of Bonhomme and its mission. Based on history and past experience, it is anticipated that the interest and principal from gifts received today will still be benefiting the Church and its mission programs as long as 100 years from now!
The Mission
The Mission of the Foundation is to provide an opportunity for members and friends of Bonhomme Church to make gifts to a permanently endowed fund to support Bonhomme’s Mission of “Growing Disciples of Jesus.” The Foundation is a not-for-profit Corporation comprised of members of Bonhomme Church.
The Foundation is governed by a nine-person Board of Trustees serving staggered three-year terms and elected in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the Church in February. The Trustees are required to be ordained Elders or Deacons of Bonhomme, not currently serving on the Session, and serve without compensation. The Foundation has been approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a Section 501(c)(3) organization, and gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible.
